MOAD Academic Readiness Profile · Pilot
Understand how you currently approach academic work
MOAD Diagnostics is designed to help you understand how you currently approach academic work and what areas of academic development may be useful to you.
It looks at things such as how you understand academic tasks, work with ideas and sources, make decisions about academic work, and express your thinking in writing.
This profile is not a mark, grade, pass, or fail. It does not measure your intelligence, potential, or value as a student. It shows how you currently approach academic work and what kind of support may help you develop further.
What you will be asked to do
- questions about how you approach academic work;
- short academic situations where you choose the response you think is strongest;
- a small number of short written responses; and
- questions about areas where you may sometimes need additional support.
It usually takes 35 to 45 minutes. Your answers are saved as you go, so you can stop and come back later.
What happens afterwards
Your multiple-choice answers are processed straight away. Your written answers are read by a facilitator. Once that review is complete, you receive your MOAD Academic Readiness Profile: what you are doing well, what to work on next, and what kind of support may help.
Your profile is not a permanent label. It describes your current responses and may change as your academic approach develops.
Free during the pilot. There is no charge to take the diagnostic while it is being developed and tested.
